World record pursuit
Flash Forward will be the largest gathering of electric vehicles anywhere!
The future is electric. A vision of when all vehicles are zero emission is set for Sunday September 25, 2022 at BCIT’s EVolution22 where the largest gathering of electric vehicles anywhere in the world will be attempted. We invite EV owners, and their families to come from far and wide.
Location: British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Burnaby Campus
The event will be part of BC Institute of Technology’s EVolution22 that promises to be the biggest and most inclusive electrified vehicle show of the year. Your electric vehicle registration at Flash Forward will provide you with free "showcase parking" as you will become part of the day's activities. We will have awards for various attributes - see below.
Individuals and business fleets are invited to register their vehicles in one of five categories of vehicles representing the full spectrum of electric technology on our roads today.
Vehicle categories:
1. BEV Battery electric cars, trucks, motorcycles (registered by ICBC) The World Record in this category is 733.
2. PEV Personal e-mobility: bikes, kick scooters, mobility scooters, skateboards, Segways and unicycles. A free valet service for active transportation / PEVs will be provided while at EVolution22.
3. PHEV Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicles with minimum 30km all-electric range.
4. FCEV Hydrogen fuel cell
5. EV conversions originally ICE, now nice.
The question will be, which category will have the most attendees? What is the world record for electric vehicles? According to Electric Autonomy, Canada’s leading news outlet for electric vehicles the world record was set in October 2021 in Quebec with 733 vehicles.
