Township of Langley EV projects and plans

Greg Dennis, Energy Manager for the Township of Langley, and Meghan Woods, Environmental Sustainability Coordinator for the Township of Langley will be talking to us about the township's EV projects and plans. Some of the potential areas of discussion are: 

  • The role of the municipality in EV adoption
  • EV Actions in Langley’s Climate Action Strategy

Greg plans and implements cross-departmental initiatives that reduce the Township’s corporate GHG emissions including fleet electrification, EV charging and building energy efficiency projects. Prior to the Township, Greg worked at Powertech Labs where he was responsible for design and project management of BC Hydro’s DC Fast Charger network. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Clean Energy Engineering, both from the University of                                                                                 British Columbia.

Meghan works across departments on a range of climate action topics including sustainable transportation and mobility, water conservation, and climate change education. Meghan previously worked with the City of Port Coquitlam, the Provincial Government, and TransLink. She is a graduate of the University of Victoria and currently completing a Master’s degree at Royal Roads University in Environment and Management. In her free time, Meghan can be found mountain biking on the North Shore and is currently exploring electric bicycle options to help her tackle some of those bigger hills.
