I just got an email from <noreply@tesla.com> saying my free premium connectivity would expire on 18 May 2020 and would henceforth cost $13.99 a month. My wife, a semi-famous cheapskate, urged me to start a petition to delay that transition given the ++bad cold situation and its negative effect on everyone's ability to pay for stuff. What do Tesla fans on this channel think? Is that something that might have an effect? 

Perhaps to echo John's comments.... and as a Tesla (Model 3) owner. Indeed I'd much prefer not to have this added expense. But then I recognize the value that Tesla is providing.... these connectivity data services (mostly entertainment) above the basic navigation services have to cost Tesla, and they do provide value to the user. Tesla also needs to have a sustainable business model and I certainly want to see them succeed and get more products out to the market.... from EVs, battery storage, public charging services, and solar.... I'm interested in them all...... Of course, these premium connectivity fees are optional.... so if one can't afford them for the moment, due to whatever reason, then simply don't sign up for the service.
