How green is your next vehicle?

Or alternatively, “How not green is your current vehicle?”  The folks at Natural Resources Canada have published a helpful spreadsheet that lets you compare the GHG emissions of different vehicles. It’s easy to use but is quite detailed, accounting for the differences in model years, location in Canada, etc.

Using the tool I learned that a Tesla Model S has 6,175% fewer emissions than a Honda Odyssey. It’s not surprising that the Tesla is cleaner, but it’s fun to see how big the difference is.

Cool tool. Too bad it doesn’t also allow you to factor in a grid-tied solar array!
